Well Dear Reader, at last a chance to draw breath and have a much deserved day off!!
The theatricals went brilliantly and we were heaped with much praise for ‘Cash on Delivery’ which was probably the most bonkers thing I have ever been in.
This was us in all of our 70s splendour
It was a farce so we had the obligatory undertaker, man dressed up as a woman and plenty of ‘being hit in the face by a door’ moments. It was a great show to do and apparently, according to pretty much everyone who came to see it, a riot to watch!
Apart from that and going to work in between times, I have done precisely nothing – haven’t had time really. TG is off for a trip away with the boys till Friday so I plan evenings of crap telly, long baths, a small glass of something and no snoring! Bliss!
On the house across the way front, we have already had two bookings – woo hoo!! My brother and his family stayed in it over the weekend and pronounced it most comfortable. Despite the pretty much incessant rain the field behind the house is a fabulous yellow and the SBG asked me if it had been painted – bless her!
There is a little breathing space now, until we begin rehearsals for Calendar Girls in about 3 weeks time. I need to lose a significant amount of blubber and am seriously considering liposuction as a last resort…..the diet begins tomorrow!!

What FAB photos!
Looks like you had a blast!
Also, a big BIG thank-you for the beautiful present. I only got it today!!! Because, the story goes like this…
I was expecting a small parcel from Hotel Chocolat – it arrived last Monday along with a card saying that I had a parcel to collect as it was too big for the letter box. Now the chocolate box that arrived also looked as if it was too big for the letterbox – but had been squashed just enough to squeeze through. It looked as if it might have been a struggle! Stupidly I had thought then, that the postman had posted the card through FIRST – and then persevered and managed to post the chocolates after all. As I wasn’t expecting anything else I gave it no more thought other than a postman error.
Thank goodness I kept the card – as, my neighbour was going to the collection office today and I gave her it to her on the off chance (just to double check). She text me at work today to say I had indeed had a parcel from a lovely lady called Amber
And then of course I remembered you saying something!! So, what fun I had opening it – so many many MANY thanks again – and for thinking of me – it is beautiful and I will indeed give it a good home. Do you not think they are relatives of yours though? I suppose it’s hard and slightly pointless if you don’t know who they are…but they could be your great grandparents!?
Anyhow, if you ever want it back – then you know where it is!!
