Gosh!! That was a weekend and a half what with plays, work and the usual domestic bliss obligations. The play went really, really well – 2 full houses out of 3 and very appreciative audiences. Not half bad for a theatre company which only advertises in its own locale. It was great fun to do, but I must admit, I’m glad to have my life back after being out every night last week between Saturday and last night. I have forgotten what The Child looks like and TG and I have become ships that pass in the night…but I did have a day off on Friday (yes a weekday!!!).
We went for a walk up on Brighstone Down which has some of the most spectacular views of Freshwater bay
The Island has a chalky ‘spine’ and you can see this in the white paths that criss cross the fields right down to the chalk cliffs at Freshwater. It was a spectacular walk and it just makes you feel good to breathe the air and stretch your legs sometimes. It also gave TG and I time to catch up, sit down and have an unrushed lunch and then repair home to see the Smallest Baby Girl who I swear has grown since I last saw her.
Whilst we were on our travels we met these fine fellows (and yes the evidence was all to obvious that they were indeed fellows)
They were very friendly, if a touch stinky.
This week will be catching up with all the stuff that got neglected last week including some making and doing. But more of that in the next day or two.
