In amongst the euphoria of Team GB, we have been out and about.
The weather has been fine so we repaired to the Garlic Farm for a spot of lunch on Friday which was lovely. Yesterday was small people and then a trip to see the divine Ms M for a catch up overlooking the sea. She has three very beloved cats and one of them, Sausage (no I have no idea!!) decided that the roof of the car was just the place for a cat to be
TG and I have been trying to get out together more and do stuff as it’s miles too easy to slip into the rut of either doing things separately or not doing anything at all but working at home. The Summer is short enough as it is and time can disappear all too easily. We went to a lovely evening with some friends last night – really good barbeque food, lovely salads and miles too much wine. We managed to watch Jessica Ennis and Mo Farah race to victory and a good night was had by all.
Today’s adventure was the food fair in Cowes where we watched cookery demonstrations and sampled some of the best of what the Island has to offer foodwise.

Delicious! It’s a fun and funky place run by two very nice chaps from Manchester.
So that’s been the weekend with a lovely extra Friday off tacked on for good measure. Roast lamb still to look forward to and perhaps just a small glass of something cold…well, it’d be rude not to!
