Well now Dear Reader, the time is upon us. My abject apologies for absence and lack of bloggage, but life has been just a tad manic of late. Between work, weekly holiday house changeover and seemingly endless rehearsals, I don’t seem to have had five minutes of freedom strung together! But we will, at Trinity Theatre, Cowes, on Saturday, be one of the first amateur dramatic groups ever to perform Calendar Girls.
It has been a long rehearsal road with more than a few bumps along the way, but I think that we have got a really good show with some great performances ready to showcase to the world (well to the good folks of Cowes anyway). The first ‘gala’ night is pretty much sold out and our real life calendars have been printed. Should any of you out there feel that you have a person deserving of such a calendar, then please let me know. They will cost £6 and I will be happy to post for a small extra consideration. All proceeds will go to Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. If you are one of my more local readers, then come and see us for a laugh and a jolly good show!
We kick off on Saturday. Sadly my weight loss efforts have come to nothing much and so I may be displaying more than I had originally anticipated but what the heck! I think my days as an international super model were numbered anyway….
