Well goodness me and heavens above its been busier than busy! As well as the 40+ hours spent at work, there have been rehearsals for 5 days and evenings out of 7.
I have taken no photos of any great consequence except for whipping my phone out to capture a moment – most of which seem to have been weather related and either running from the house to the car or vice versa…
Or on the quick trot out we do at lunchtime to alleviate the deskboundness
In amongst all of the work and rehearsals nonsense we have managed to have Mr Folly’s birthday party and a really lovely evening with our neighbours on Saturday. I say evening, but it was the early hours when we wobbled back down the drive having had a conversational cornucopia which ranged from ghosts to conservation to wine to proportional representation (of which I’d forgotten how much I knew) to plans for the future and finally at around oneish to the X Factor…..funny how everyone feels the same about Louis…
And so this week has begun. And basically it will be more of the same without the dinner but including a trip to the theatre to see other people perform for a change! There is work of course and tech and dress rehearsals to be achieved and still some lines to be learned – yikes! We go up with our first show Really Old Like 45 next Wednesday and the fear has certainly settled in.
I must admit that I’m looking forward to a few weekends seeing the small folks who I feel that I haven’t seen for eons and getting back to some vague semblance of normality. It’s all been a bit too full on for my liking. Talking of normality, I took myself off to do a little seed shopping for the Winter months and met this chap. He couldn’t decide if he fancied eating the phone or the garlic seed that I’d just bought.
He’s called Tinker and he is a very sweet little Shetland pony.
So that’s about it – nothing of any real consequence to speak of. As of most things, all this will end in the not too distant future and normal service will be resumed. In the meantime Dear Reader happy Autumn and may all your glasses of wine be large ones!
